IT Ops & Vendor Manager
The IT Ops & Vendor Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating all technology-related operations & vendor management activities. This role is pivotal in ensuring that my clients IT infrastructure, security protocols, and business analytics are efficiently managed, maintained, and enhanced.
Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Change management: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Continuity management: Ensure that internal IT systems and support aligns with the organization’s operational requirements and supports ongoing business needs.
- Service management: work together with the service desk to ensure prompt and smooth service, internally and externally.
- Vendor management: develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, ensuring optimal service delivery and value for money.
Team Leadership:
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Ensure that the team is adequately resourced, trained, and motivated to meet the demands of their roles.
Risk and Compliance:
- Ensure that all IT operations and vendor management activities comply with the organizations internal security (CISO) requirements.
- Monitor and address any risks associated with IT operations, including data security, system integrity, and operational continuity.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the CTO and CPO (and other senior leaders) to develop and implement strategic technology initiatives.
- Align operational plans with my clients business objectives, ensuring that technology solutions support and enhance business performance.
Budget Management:
- Manage the department’s budget ensuring that all expenditures are justified and align with the organization’s financial strategy.
- Monitor financial performance against the budget, identifying and addressing any variances in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology vendor management and operations
- Proper understanding of ITSM principals
- Excellent planning, coordination, and project management skills
- Strong understanding of risk, dependency, and scope management
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
- Resilient and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Preferably experience in the logistics sector
- A strong communicator and collaborator, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
You have to live in The Netherlands. My client does not offer relocation or immigration services (VISA). You must be eligible to work in the Netherlands.
